Second, even if the rubber seal is only in direct contact with drinking water, the residual disinfectant in the water is also a factor to consider. What is used to disinfect the drinking water that comes into contact with the rubber parts? Every country and region in the world has different methods of disinfection. The main methods are chlorination disinfection and chloramine disinfection. The research shows that these disinfectants in the water will react with the rubber parts, make the rubber parts swell and deform, and even decompose, thus affecting the sealing function and life of the rubber parts.
